Higher Education Leadership, Planning, and Policy

The higher education leadership, planning, and policy strand prepares students for leadership and research in the four-year college and university setting and in the policy environment. Suggested courses for this strand are divided into two categories, higher education leadership and planning and policy, and two areas of interest, faculty and collegiate athletic administration. Courses suggested under the policy and planning headings are recommended in combination with courses from the leadership and faculty lists. Courses suggested under the faculty category may be of interest to students who plan on pursuing academic careers as faculty. Courses under the collegiate athletic administration area of interest are suitable for individuals who want a broad-based higher education leadership or policy degree but want to learn more about specific aspects of collegiate athletic administration. Students with advisor consent can mix and match across the groupings.

Courses, which have been taken at the master's level either at UNLV or another institution should not be repeated for credit (* indicates master's core courses).
