Educational Leadership

The primary mission of the Department of Educational Leadership is the development of individuals for leadership roles at all levels of education and related business/industry enterprises. Its scope includes PK-12 Education Leadership , Higher Education Leadership , and Workforce Education and Development . Our Department offers several programs, many of which involve theoretical constructs and practitioner training for those interested in careers as public or private educational leaders, policy analysis, and teachers in business and industry occupations that require educational and leadership skills or degrees focusing on educational research.

Patrick Carlton

CARLTON

Dr. Patrick Carlton is an educational administration specialist whose areas of expertise include public school infrastructure development and administrative applications implementation; historical research and training; communications skills training; leadership skill development; employee assessment; and human resources administration. He has worked for the past thirty-five years as both employee and consultant with state and federal governments, colleges, universities and public schools. He has conducted numerous leadership, management and personnel symposia and workshops, assisting professionals employed in educational leadership positions in government, public schools and higher education.

Center for Oral History in Educational Leadership

The CCSD Historical study takes the development of the 5th largest school district in the U.S.

The Oral History of the Public School Principalship is an ongoing project which is collecting the craft wisdom and knowledge of retired elementary, middle and high school principals.
