Educational Leadership

The primary mission of the Department of Educational Leadership is the development of individuals for leadership roles at all levels of education and related business/industry enterprises. Its scope includes PK-12 Education Leadership , Higher Education Leadership , and Workforce Education and Development . Our Department offers several programs, many of which involve theoretical constructs and practitioner training for those interested in careers as public or private educational leaders, policy analysis, and teachers in business and industry occupations that require educational and leadership skills or degrees focusing on educational research.

 

About the Educational Leadership Association (ELA)

The Educational Leadership Association (ELA) of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, shall promote and represent the interests of graduate students, professionals, and alumni at the University of Nevada , Las Vegas . The association will assist graduate students, alumni, and professionals in the field of Educational Leadership with support for academic and professional endeavors. Providing an environment conducive to scholarship, research, and professional development will be a primary goal of ELA.

The ELA provides support to its members through the forms of professional development workshops, information on research and scholarship opportunities, and social interaction events. All current and former members of the UNLV community are invited to attend the twice-monthly meetings of the ELA.

Meetings are held in the Carlson Education Building (CEB), Room 315A.
